[style=width: 400px; padding: 20px; color: #cccccc; font-family: tahoma; font-size: 10px; max-height: 1000px; overflow: auto;]Looking up, Earos eyed the entrance to the cave with an intense interest. Every fiber in his being was telling him to climb the treacherous path - but reason was nagging at him not to risk it. The air smelt of young rain, and the clouds looked heavy with water and ready to burst. "Well, wouldn't want to get wet now would we." He chuckled to himself under his breath as he stepped forward to take the first small leap up the pathway. Once he had taken a few more steps he found that it was way easier to navigate than it had looked. He was already half way up when it started to rain. And rain it did - like gunfire it pelted down on him, shocking him into moving faster. Instead of padding his way up normally, he began a series of risky jumps. Hopping from one flat area to the next. Within seconds he hopped into the mouth of the cave - shaking himself violently so that raindrops scattered around him in a wet halo.
The inside of the cave took his very breath away. Dull light filtered in from the outside, casting a calm glow a few meters into the depths. Here and there patches of moss grew, decorating the slate grey with splashes of bright green. It even smelt different to the outside world. All of Khan's senses were activated as he moved slowly around the entrance. It was much, much larger than it had looked from the ground. One could easily fit an entire herd of ox in here if they wanted to, and this was just the part that he could actually see. Imagine way lay further down the path.
Turning to face the depths - Earos was confronted by a darkness so black that it put the night to shame. Looking down the tunnel felt like staring down the throat of a massive beast. He felt suddenly small in this monumental space. "Ahooo." He let out a short noise, listening to it echo and bounce off the walls of stone. Where it ended, he could not tell. All he knew was that he wanted to find out. This was the most exciting part of land that he had come across in days, and he wasn't going to pass up the chance to go in and calm his raging curiosity.
Outside, the rain slowed to a steady drum. Thin streams of liquid ran down from the entrance and pooled around his paws, creeping into the crevices of rock and seeping into the moss. Realizing then how cold he was, Khan shook himself again, trying to rid his coat of all the water that he possibly could - an impossible act, but he tried anyway, feeling his skin prickle with goosebumps, cursing the cold breath of winter that had him firmly in its clutches.
Ahead, the darkness called to him. But for some reason, he hesitated, turning his head to look back to the entrance.

The weather was miserable, but that wasn't really a surprise, given the time of year. The air was muggy and felt damp, and to Noelle, it felt like it was going to rain, and very soon. Therefore, it was probably for the best that she was looking for shelter. Rain didn't bother her as much as it may do to others, and Noelle was well aware how some females were appalled at the idea of their fur getting wet. She was not one of those vain individuals, and she scoffed at the idea of someone getting so wound up about the state of their fur. As long as it was clean, what was the problem? She didn't understand the mentality of shallow, superficial females sometimes, but that was most likely because she never really had the time to be either shallow or superficial when she was younger.
Her turquoise gaze found her target, her destination. It was a cave, but it was nothing like the cosy den-sites that Noelle had called home over the course of the previous months. The tunnel looked dark and rather ominous, and the air smelt dank and moist, yet at the same time it looked spacious and... inviting, rather oddly. It was now that the heavens opened, and the rain began to fall, splattering against Noelle's silver pelt and soaking the ground beneath her feet. She took one step, and then another, hopping up the path, not really noticing the scent of another wolf up ahead until she reached the top of the path, staring into the tunnel in front of her. She hesitated a little, wondering if she should continue down the path and possibly encounter this stranger, or turn back around and brave the rain once more, looking for somewhere else to go. She thought about it for a few moments, and then decided that she would continue into the labyrinth. "Ahooo." Noelle jumped at the sudden sound that reverberated off the walls, wanting to turn back around and leave, but it was too late, because the male was not only closer than she first though, but he was now looking at the entrance - and at her.
Uncertainly, the girl took a tentative step forward, her bright turquoise gaze squinting to try and take in more of the male's appearance. He was large, and grey like her, but far darker tones. His gaze was silver, and his expression was not one of malice or aggression, but rather an uncertainty that matched her very own. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad. "... Hello?"
[style=width:400px; height:300px; margin:0px; border:0px; padding:25px; overflow:scroll;] Cold had engulfed the land as if the rain water brought with it freezing relief to the once muggy terrain. The she-wolf was in her normal position, standing guard hidden within the rocky structure of the cave above her. She had found the place when scouting out the new land. She was alone in this world and she was content with it. Her left paw reached out to some invisible stand while she attended to a scratch on her leg. Legs like stilts, they were dark as the night itself with blue hues here and there for good measure. She replaced her paw on the ground after her itch was satisfied. The rain bounced off of her coarse fur all the while. A yawn escaped her.WHERE TO GO TO NEXT? The thoughts never escaped her.
She looked toward the sky, visualizing a safe path up the rocky cavern-side. Rain water had now begun to soak the once dry rocks making them slippery and difficult to maneuver. But why waste time thinking? She lept forward onto the first large rock, making her way up to the cavern. Medium and smaller rocks followed. Rocks that were jagged, ridgid, bumpy all coursed under her pads. By now even her coarse fur began to submit to the rain water. becoming drenched and heavy. The she-wolf was forced to stop and shake herself, sending water up to the heavens and down to the rocky chasm below.
Left ear twitched at an unidentified sound. A voice perhaps bounced about the rocky formation, echoing down the terrain, muddled a bit by the pouring rain. Action was necessary to identify the sound, if it were a voice. Head tilted, as so little rain water stun her eyes, the she-wolf gazed at the mouth of the cavern. A white figure stood at the mouth of the cave. Head bobbed at the sight of the figure, ears were now focused to the mouth of the cavern. Alas, as if it were a ghost, the white figure disappeared. The she-wolf looked about, believing the mist and rain were playing tricks on her mind. Yet, a sound and now a figure? Something was going on-that was the single thought in her mind now as she proceeded to the mouth of the cave.
Bounding up the rocks, left paw slipped on a mossy stone causing her leg to jettison into a large rock. She grimaced to keep from yelping at the pain. Shaking off the pain shooting up her leg, she continued to the opening, leg still moveable.
Her efforts had rewarded her at last, but there was a scene to behold. The white figure, now distinguishable, stood just short of a few feet from the cavern's opening. There was another, it seemed, as the figure's gaze was transfixed. The she-wolf had missed any prior vocal exchange due to her slip, and now she was unsure if she should say much of anything to prevent startling the white one. She then traced the gaze of the white one into the darkness, where there she lost sight of whatever lay in it's wake.

[style=width: 400px; padding: 20px; color: #cccccc; font-family: tahoma; font-size: 10px; max-height: 1000px; overflow: auto;]He wanted so badly to venture further into the cave - to see what lay beyond the darkness. Maybe treasure, or a plant he hadn't seen yet. It didn't even begin to occur to him that perhaps there might be something unpleasant in there - but then again, it never did. Luckily for him, his optimistic outlook had very rarely gotten him into trouble. And when it did, he was usually quick enough to get himself out of it. Just as he was about to take a bold step into the blackness, a soft voice called out to him. Or rather, to the cave. Hello?
He spun around, a bit too fast at that, stumbling over his own paws. A vision of light stood near the entrance, looking down towards where he stood. Perhaps she couldn't see him so far into the cave. Gingerly, he moved towards her into the light. "Hello." A warm smile was offered her way, yet as he edged closer, the smile warped into some dumb kind of grimace. She was stunning. It had been ages since Earos had crossed the path of another, and probably months since he had been in the company of a lady. Part of him didn't even remember how to react. In an awkward gesture, he dipped his head to her. "I'm Earos. Or Khan, whatever you prefer."
Her blue eyes matched one of his. But they were far more radiant than his could ever be - they had some kind of ethreal glow to them that captivated him somewhat. Since birth Khan had loved to observe beautiful things, but thanks to his mother - he was always weary of the opposite sex.
"Horrid weather." He mumbled as he cast a glance outside. It didn't look like it was going to be improving any time soon. "Nice to be out of the rain though!" His cheery voice sound a little too loudly, and he flinched as it bounced off the stone walls.
Confused, Earos stood like a statue, yearning to turn and continue exploring, but not at all wanting to leave her alone. He had been raised with proper manners, and leaving a lady five seconds after introducing oneself was not exactly on the top of his list. Unsure of what to do, he sat down, uncomfortably, on the hard floor of the cave.
Before he could say anything else though, another figure appeared in the cave entrance. He cocked his head to one side immediately - this creature was like none he had ever seen before. Her scent was evidently female, and she smelled almost exactly the same as other wolves - but she was very different in appearance. Long, thin legs carried her fragile body. Her ears were much larger, dished and alert like black tipped flowers. Not being able to help it, he stood up, cocking his auds forward and taking a few short steps forward. He craned his neck forward, sniffing again in an attempt to learn more about her.
