So the time has finally come for me to start looking for someone to help me keep up with everything here. For now - I will be needing someone to fill the Moderator position (AKA Lieutenant). If you are interested in auditioning for this position, let me outline the basics in terms of what I expect of a fellow staffer.

REQUIREMENTS

YOU MUST BE ACTIVE. This is the most important part of being a staff member - just being around. I try my best to be online daily so that things don't lag around here.

PROBOARDS EXPERIENCE. If you are (or have been) a staff member on other Proboards forums and know how things like thread moderation works - this is advantageous.

DESIGN/GRAPHICS EXPERIENCE. I don't expect you to be a Photoshop guru at all - but having some experience would be awesome. Knowing basic things like cropping and image sourcing from proper sources would help.

CREATIVE THINKING. Since you and I will be cooking up some saucy plots for Clash.

PATIENCE & HUMILITY. For the members and guests. If you are quick to anger or if you are unwilling to be patient with others, please do not apply.

HONESTY. Last but most definitely not least - I need to be able to trust you. I'm not asking you to be a saint (I'm not) but I do want us to be honest with each other at all times.

DUTIES

ACCEPTING BIOS. Reading over character applications, making sure all is correct - then accepting the bio and updating the account's stats.

ADVERTISING. Linking back to first posts and looking for new sites to advertise on.

HELPING MEMBERS & GUESTS. Keeping tabs on the cbox and help board for any questions.

BRAINSTORMING WITH ME. That's right. We'll need to get on Discord or something and plot like mad scientists when we have the time. Random events, plot twists etc.

IC MONITORING. Surveying and judging IC events like fights.

REWARDS

OOC ACCOUNT UPGRADE. Well, obviously, you'd become a staffer with the shiny title of 'LIEUTENANT'.

+250 POINTS. To a character account of your choice.

4th CHARACTER SLOT. Yes, that's right. You can have four characters should the desire arise.

MORAL SUPPORT. This is mostly just me sending you cute messages, memes and GIFs. (Don't worry, this is optional.)

HEADER FAME. See that badass looking wolf in the header that links to my profile? See the big title that says 'STAFF'? There are two open slots. One of them becomes yours. ;}

i hope this doesn't sound greedy at all, because it certainly isn't meant that way. staffing is my speciality though, so i figured i'd at least drop a self-advert. feel free to ignore.

AGE: 23
RP EXP: since 2001, proboards since 2004, jcink since 2008.
STAFF EXP: i have been creating sites/staffing since joining the proboards community since 2004. I have extensive knowledge of proboards v5 coding (not sure about v6, will need to research), and I code all my own skins by hand. I do not like to use templates and prefer to be self-sufficient in all areas. As far as what kind of staffer I am, i tend to be very rule-oriented and expect everyone to play nice in the sandbox. My skills come into play as being a peace officer, though i am not a pushover and expect members to have respect for the staff. A friend once told me "members can't respect staff members who don't respect them," and I do agree with this and see rpg administration as a two way street: you can't be a dictator, but you can't be everyone's friend, either. I am a high-level, advanced roleplayer and I would say my only pet peeve of members is "illiterate" writing. I am very old school and come from the ice-age of administration, so i tend not to be hip on the current tumblr trends. i can be too nice, too, while having a tendency to be too aggressive at times, and am a good for someone who needs balance on their team. I see things from a very logical, fact-based standpoint and do not play favorites. If you have offended, you get the paddle no matter who you are.
DESIGN EXP: i am always learning and trying to improve my skinning, coding, and photoshop design abilities. I have access to a tablet so I mostly hand-paint all my fur, along with a white or off-white outline to accentuate features. I know how to blend, how to add and dismantle bodyparts, how to paint equine hair and how to alter backgrounds, merge images and recreate something out of several pictures.

ACTIVITY LVL: i can guarantee i will be online at least once every day. activity at nights is not an issue, but what may become concerning for an admin who really wants someone there 24/7 is my lifestyle. I work from 6am to 5pm, am on the west coast, and i am at the barn until 8pm my time (i am definitely not reachable between 5:00-8:00), but between 6:00-5:00 i am available via instant message. to counter my lack of... well, HIGH activity, i tend to only concern myself with one site and only a few characters so clash will be my only rp source, therefore no one else is in competition for my attention.
MOTIVATION: i have a lot, and i mean LOT of administrative experience. i have really backed off on getting neck-deep in staffing because i tend to be somewhat of a stranglehold, but judging battles, writing contests, and other forms are what i do best at. i am a very friendly person and i absolutely love helping people. despite my uncured irkness for poor writing i do try and help those who want to improve, and when i staff a site i become completely protective, defensive, and parental of it, and i will do everything in my power to keep it from going under.
