[attr="class","body"]There's an unrest evident in the air of Toren. Each and every creature seems to be on high-alert as the question rises: 'Is the disease contagious? And if so... What kind of severity are we looking at?' So far, there are no definite answers - and it's driving the residents crazy. Neighbors are turning on each other, families disowning their kin.
Among the chaos a new sect seems to be forming, with no discernible leader as of yet. The Purists, as they have been labelled, are a group of creatures who see the diseased as lesser beings that need to be exterminated. Their ideal world would include the violent culling of all those infected - effectively 'killing' the illness. Despite the massive flaws in their collective thinking, they will not listen to reason. Those who still honour the peace in Toren are trying their best to discourage anyone from joining the Purist ranks - desperate to keep some semblance of non-violence and respect.
Only one thing is certain: nobody knows how to act around the infected. Nobody knows if just spending time around them is even safe. Until actual evidence arises - every single thing said about the status of the disease is pure rumor.
