NOTABLE MARKINGS. Three socks (both back legs and right front) as well as a skinny blaze that runs into a snip.
PHYSICAL. Ani has a slight form that is more built for running than fighting and upon first glance you would most certainly say that the mare is not a fighter and would never make one. Upon getting to know her you would know that would be true. Ani's buckskin coat is brighter than most buckskin tones hinting that there is akhal-teke blood very prevalent in her bloodline which would also explain her lithe form. You'll quickly notice the mares bold stockings on all but one of her legs (the front left) as well as the very skinny blaze that runs down her face joining up with a small snip. Everything about her is small, her ears, her muzzle, her hooves..well everything except for her eyes. The mares eyes are actually rather large (maybe a bit abnormally so) and are the color of amethyst being just as crystal clear as the best cut of the gem you can find. If anything others would say that they're her best feature. In certain light Ani's eyes tend to look like amethyst tinted glass reassuring her look as that of something that is breakable. With such a gentle look that she always carries about her, it's hard to feel threatened by Ani's presence.

PERSONALITY. Ani isn't a nervous mare but she isn't a fighter either. She may act tough sometimes but ever her bite isn't that bad and her bark is a whole lot less powerful. She's a better mother than anything else and has very powerful motherly instincts that kick in whenever she is around a foal. The mare is hard to keep quiet as well. She doesn't like the silence and prefers to keep talking so that she doesn't feel like the silence is overcoming her. The poor girl has a fear of the dark as well as spiders though and she tends to have nightmares almost every night that either consist pf her being confined in the dark, eaten alive by spiders, or falling down bottomless ravines. She likes to keep her fears to herself but some nights she can be heard whimpering in fear while she sleeps. Ani hopes to find someone or somewhere that she can actually sleep and not be plagued by her nightmares.
If you did not know of her ailment though, you would never suspect that Ani had such problems. She's rather happy go-lucky and will approach anyone or anything as she's very trusting. She doesn't notice anything right away that could be harmful and she feels that everyone deserves to have a chance to either prove themselves or change. Her trusting nature can get her in trouble either physically or mentally though nothing has seemed to cause her any harm in the long run. She tends to bounce back rather easily and it would take a lot to really mess with her. Ani assumes that she can get along with anyone and anyone can get along her with her. Her naive way of looking at life can get her in trouble as well. She just can't grasp the idea that someone out there would even want to harm others. It just sounds too far fetched her her. She has much to learn as she grows up.

HISTORY. Ani never knew her mother as she died in labor, since she never knew her though she has no hard feelings over not knowing. She was raised with just as much love as her mother would have given her by another mare in the herd that raised her alongside her own foal. Her father didn't have the heart to move on after her mother died though and thus she has no siblings though since she was raised with Brevis (his mother nursed her) she sees him as a brother. When Ani was just a yearling she and Brevis wandered off just to have an adventure, he was always the adventurous type. They wandered off into the woods without letting anyone know that they were going anywhere. The two managed to get themselves lost and the sun quickly sunk leading the way to the night. That was the night that Ani earned her fear of spiders and the dark as well as falling. While the two were stumbling about into the dark Ani lost her footing, slipped, and fell down a steep hill. At the bottom she found herself entangled in a spiders web face to face with a large spider (it could have been a normal sized spider but to her the size was intensified by her fear).
Brevis tumbled down after her as a good older brother would and as she saw it, he protected her from a big bad scary monster. Brevis killed the spider and the two spent the night curled up with each other waiting for daylight. She shook the whole night as she fought off nightmares. By the time day broke Ani's father had found the two of them and rightfully scolded them for wandering off on their own. The loss of his mate was hard enough but losing his daughter would be too much. He was rather proud of Brevis for protecting her though and has always thought highly of the colt and still does now that he's grown up. there came a time when Brevis had to leave though and ani hasn't seen him since. She's always felt like something was missing once he was gone and when she felt like she could she told her father she had to leave and discover what her true purpose was in the world and took off to find him. As of now she hasn't found him yet and doesn't even know if he's truly what she's looking for.
