NOTABLE MARKINGS. --
PHYSICAL. with a name like romeo, one might think a handsome, foolhardy young man with a sexy appeal. or perhaps some might imagine him as a stringy, skinny mongrel with little appeal. whatever the case, this romeo isn't the best looking. his fur is unkempt, ruffled and patched in places, and unbelievably knotted. mud and dirt cakes to it in large clumps, intentionally giving him a rough look to him. in realism, romeo's entire frame is light and hardly capable of surviving any serious blows. not to mention, his height and weight give little aid to his health. he would probably be one of the first to fall ill, should anything disease-ridden try to take him.
the colour of his fur ranges. and is honestly rather hard to really see. but tossing aside his dirty fur, romeo has a decent looking hide. a pale cream undercoat, overlapped with a orangish brown, it rides over his skull and crawls along his ribs and hindquarters. even a part of his tail is somewhat the same. but the most prominent colour that stands out amongst the rest of his body, is even noticeable with the matted fur.. it his black back. it arches over his spine and spreads out around his shoulders. it even seems to slide around his neck too. he could be handsome one day, if he could shape himself up a little bit better.
however despite that, his face is a fairly decent thing to look at. with eyes that glow an eerie light green, it seems to radiate his appearance a bit more. though it's rather nerve-racking too. they could be the reason others stay away from him. or the idea that he might have fleas.
FEARS. male wolves, horses, spiritual visions, his own hallucinations
VICES.greedy, loses his handle around women, very flirty and troublesome, doesn't know his boundaries. very demanding, unreliable
STRENGTHS. intelligent, responsible(only about himself), self-preserving, relatively honest, keeping up with others
PET PEEVES. dishonesty, those that judge, abusive beings, being pushed away, generally stupid others
LIKES. females, having his way, learning, being around others, forgetting
PERSONALITY. romeo is many things. some of them not so great. he can be pushy, demanding, and a little bit rude. his sarcasm can go too far, and he can be a real jerk. he takes things too far somethings, and just loses control of his own self preservation. sometimes, his attitude takes him too far, pushing to the boundary and putting his life at risk. he often finds himself trying to bulk up to his fears. act tough, perhaps a little manly in order to make himself look less pathetic and timid. however this usually ends in his chickening out, perhaps presenting himself as more of a fool than he'd started out as. however despite that, he finds himself being a rather intelligent beast. he knows his way around things, can usually figure out a way to get himself out of a mess. he understands the necessities of others, and mainly of himself. but romeo still wants to learn more.
though this can entangle himself in greedy habits. he has the occasional moment where he loses his handle and delves into his horrid, greedy, self-conflicting self. he initially hates himself, in a sense. never liked the way he turned out. he braces up a protective barrier, though shatters it repeatedly whenever in the presence of a female he thinks looks pretty. in fact, this happens so often that he tries to stray away from the other gender. tries to keep his distance. he is a rather flirty male, and tends to get carried away with the women. he can say he doesn't mean to. and he might not. but he still doesn't seem to understand the feelings of those around him quite clearly. this probably goes along with the fact he's unreliable. he can say one thing, and say it honestly. but that doesn't mean he'll actually do it. as for living up to his end of the bargain, the honesty can become pretty fragile. however he speaks the truth, even if the truth means he broke his end of the deal.
though besides that, romeo finds himself to be a pretty normal wolf. he hates those that abuse, finds himself disliking those that push him away, and despises those who are stupider than himself. though he respects the beings who are greater and stronger than he is, if they have a denser mind than himself.. you can guarantee he regrets ever meeting you. and you could say he's forgiving. but that probably isn't the word for it. if something had happened to him, he tends to have a way of forgetting. forgive and forget, perhaps. he does his best to put the past behind him and not ever bring it up in the future. technically speaking, if you manage to get into a conversation with him, you can guarantee he won't speak much of his past. he might even lie a bit about it to try and satisfy your needs.
though the most important part of romeo is the fact that his fears outrank any of his other emotions and expressions. male genders, specifically wolves haunt him. after the abuse from his father, and the abuse from several other male characters thereafter, he's never forgotten that. he keeps his distance around them, even if he tries to act brave and worthy under their gaze. he's never truly found peace within a pack of male canids. though that fear doesn't radiate as strongly as meeting horses, or the fact that spiritual beings and ghosts are real. romeo can't stand equines. the clopping hooves pounding the earth sends shivers down his spine. because of this, his personality takes a turn for the worst, and he more often than not can find himself occasionally striking at one, or turning and fleeing on sight. despite his brave shield, this stands for nothing against the horses. though while knowing that he can't stand up to horses, the fact that he knows that ghosts are real, and live all around him make him nauseous. just the bland idea of meeting one sends him into a sickness. sometimes he finds that he has hallucinations that he sees his parents ghost.
of course, it probably isn't true, but with all of the diseases riding on the backs of the two species living today.. who knows.
MOTHER. capulet, deceased
FATHER. montague, presumed deceased
SIBLINGS. --
HISTORY. being the only pup in a litter, he should have gotten the most affection. instead, seeing as his father wasn't one for 'useless' women, he abused and tried to destroy his mothers appearance at the sight of only one pup, whom wasn't even that healthy. inf act, romeo himself was a small, weak pup whom hardly survived throughout the first few months of his life. his father was disgusted, and did this to capulet to 'warn other males of her useless womb.' of course, this never stopped romeo's mother from loving him. but she was far weaker than a female bearing pups should be. romeo, compared to other pups his age or older should have been active and playing constantly. probably growing up to be a great nuisance to the mother. romeo was the opposite. he got sick easily, hung off his mothers teats whenever he could, and plainly refused meat when offered it. this may have been because of the mothers illness herself, but it didn't matter.
by the time the pup was old enough to hunt for himself, he looked like death itself had taken to living within his body. he was scrawny, with pale eyes and a small body. he didn't play with the other pups, and instead found himself relying on his mother for most of the time. he rarely even attempted to hunt. though he started to the minute his father came back into the picture. he'd left before romeo had gotten very old. told himself that his son was the bane of his existence and never wanted to see him again. in this case, when he came back, he didn't come back to apologize. he came back to kill his son. of course his mother wouldn't allow it, and met him before it was too late. however the weak pup was nothing more than a scrawny mutt that didn't know what was going on.
before his mother had come to rescue him, he'd been attacked rather viciously by his father. his fur was a mess, bald in places of which never grew back in. his entire body looked a mess. he was no longer very good looking, even if he hadn't before. and while he sat there, huddled and terrified, he found that his mother couldn't do much to stop his father either. in fact, she'd been killed in the process. and with a savage look from his own father, he left.
of course romeo was never the same after that. he healed physically, his wounds closing and his body growing. but his mind and heart never mended. they were torn, filled with anguish, fear and most importantly.. hatred. the male species of wolf was a savage thing to him. filled with murder and hurt and pain. he hated himself too.
