First of all, I'll start with the compliments. The color scheme is lovely and easy on the eyes. The site banner is gorgeous, and I love how the 'home', 'new topics', 'help', etc. icons are laid out right there. They're not in the way of anything and they're positioned perfectly. I love how the actual board where the posts are is slightly transparent, allowing the background to show through. I also love while in a land board, even if you start a new topic or reply to one, the description is located at the top for extremely easy access.
A few things about the layout (this is me being nit-picky and detail-attentive, but I've learned with manips that every little detail counts. feel free to leave these for last on your to-do list, as I'm sure you're busy):
- Consider possibly making the background image taller? The difference in light and dark at the bottom sticks out and clashes harshly.
- The part where the images meet in the middle is not as noticeable and certainly not a problem, but if it comes to bug you, simply try cloning the right side of the image to the left with a large brush that's the fuzziest you can find. If the pattern overlay is on a different layer, it works even better, but it shouldn't be too noticeable if it's not.
- I don't know why, but the quick links list bothers me with how close the text is to the bar. Is some space between that possible? For example, could you do what you did under "POPULATION", with "HORSES" and "WOLVES".
- The rules say that signatures are allowed to be 530 x 250, but the forum automatically resizes anything over 500 pixels in width. Which is a bit redundant. XDD
I'm merely pointing these out--I'm just being extremely attention-detailed today. ^^; I know that I couldn't do any better, but I was simply bringing this to your attention. c:
Also, what population is used for the headers? (Quick Links, Weather, Chatter!, etc.)
Anyway, onto the suggestion(s):
A WORD COUNTER;
- Since you have a high word minimum, I think it would be useful to include a word counter in the left sidebar, possibly under Population and above Updates. By the way, a word counter under the text entry box and above the 'Characters Remaining' section when you're creating a new post make it difficult for an accurate reading because it counts coding, especially if you make use of spaces and line breaks in said coding. Merely pointing the latter out so that you'll know. ^^;
A TABLE TESTING THREAD;
- May I start one? o 3o If so, where? I understand that you can use your own tracker for such, but it's always nice to post them in a table testing thread so everyone can see it. It also makes a handy place to deliver gifts and surprise tables. ^^; Besides, it'd be handy for testing tables for potential characters instead of existing ones.
I understand that most of these can only be done by our lovely admin, but I was pointing them out for her knowledge. <3 You have created a wonderful, lovely site and I shall try and help it prosper! c: |

I am *whisper* working on a new skin and layout at the moment. And I will include all your ideas in it :} Especially the word counter which I've been hankering for as well!

Okay... I don't know if I can blame my dyslexia for this or just how easily distracted I am. I mean to say 'Also, what font is used for the headers?', but I was lookind directly at the 'population' header thinking 'yeah, I think listing up to chatter is enough'. XDDD So I derped and put population.
