Here it was. The ocean. The unending horizon. It was different here, the perfect opposite of her usual favorite- the forests of Toren. It was oddly serene here, but Amari couldn't be sure she liked it. Blindness took away aspect of the view, leaving the sandy shores simply that, with only the crashing of the waves at her hooves for Amari to recognize. On occassion, the faint call of a beach bird, like a seagull, could be heard. It was quiet. So quiet, when compared to the buzzing life of her usual place, the forest. No rustling leaves, no frequent wildlife.
It was like the map had been wiped blank, with too few sounds to pinpoint anything. A breeze gave her a ssense of direction, the waves helped indicate her path of travel. But other than that, her internal map was oddly...blank. Slowly she walked along, the mist froom the waves dampening her coat, cooling her with the help of a steady breeze.
It was odd, the serenity and the feeling of open area, completely unoocupied. She wandered aimlessly, not quite sure why she had come, but still curious, nonetheless. In the distance, she could faintly pick up the sound of fish splaching in the water, but it did not pique her interest after the initial surprise.
The dark brown mare silently kept moving, in a perfectly straight line, delicately checking the ground in front of her for something that she would need to step over, perhaps a stray rock. Her head was lowered just below being aligned with her topline, white eyes like orbs in the clear, sunny afternoon.
This was the sort of place that fried her nerves, upset her, made her feel like a burden. Grumbling a swift set of swear words, she continued along, breathing deeply in an attempt to calm herself. The place had appeared to her in her dreams. Drawn her to it. So, surely there was a reason for her presence. The world seemed to spin about her, unending amounts of gritty sand, sun baked and warm in the pale sunlight, and crashing waves, misting her.
Shadows drifted about the darkness that was her blindness, not taking form. This was normal, it was the uncontrollable effect of the Divus. They were mists, fogs, shifting in the corners of her "vision". They were almost always there, depending on where she was.
At that moment, a strong wave crashed against her lower legs, salty and warmish. She shook her head slightly, starting to consider heading back.

There was an undeniable cold wind flowing in front of water that flowed to the sand and Alsvidur was forced to shiver against it. His dark mane and tassel were being tossed in frenzy around his neck and rump, twisting the hairs around one another and making something of a messy braid. His eyes were bright today, as he surveyed the land was passed before his galloping hooves. The land before him was really beautiful, he took the time to appraise the topography appropriately before continuing onward with a fast pace toward the ocean he could see crashing against the sand. There was something about this day that made it seem worth appraising. He moved with ease along the grass that covered the ground, embracing the cool chill of air that swept past him. Winter was coming; Alvisdur could feel in the fresh breeze that came from the ocean. Soon this land would be covered with a blanket of white and he almost looked forward to it. The change would be welcome, but he thought that in time he would come to miss the warmth of the sun and freshness of the grass, he always did eventually.
As he came upon the water and the sand was wrapped around it like in protection he noticed something that he did not think he would find. It was a rather surprising sight at first and he stopped to take in the scenery that now was pock-marked with the figurine of a horse. He wanted to say something, to yell across the distance but thought better of it and strode forward, covering the terrain easily with his massive hooves. The darkness of his brown coat shone in the light available, but he really wasn’t much of a sight to behold. He thought perhaps his brother would be better suited in this situation. Thinking of his siblings brought a strange feeling to his stomach that he tried to ignore. It was difficult at first, but soon the desire to remember faded.
The waves crashed at her feet, splashing her frame and dappling her brown coat with droplets of insipid. He thought something was different about her but he couldn’t quite place it, he was often wrong about those things anyhow. At his approached he called out, about ten or so feet from the mare.
“Hello there.” He cooed his voice very small in comparison to the whipping winds of the ocean. He attempted to convey in his voice a charisma that would instill in her a sense of comfort. He did not want to frighten her, but he did want to make himself known. He enjoyed company, or at least as much of it he could have before memories of his siblings and old family came pouring back and sucked up all his attention and energy. He paused and smiled, conjuring something sweet upon his façade in case she look in his direction, all the while unknowing that what she saw was only black.
