A Suggestion (or Two)!

Hi! I hope it's okay that I'm posting this under Pelagia; I haven't made an OoC account yet, heh.

I wanted to make a suggestion that I think could help the site grow and gain members faster! This is of course just my opinion, so please feel free to disagree with me.

Maybe it would be a good idea to make the site one account per member instead of one account per every character?

Logging in and out and in again is sort of frustrating, and on top of that, it's kind of time-consuming. It can be a turn-off for lazy people like me, and while the one-account-per-character rule didn't deter me from joining, it's possible that it might be deterring others. (Side note: I normally don't join forums that make their members have multiple accounts! Regardless, I joined this particular place because I couldn't resist how cool the plot is (and we can play as deer and bears and foxes and stuff, which is cool as heck)!)

And as I type this, I realize that I have another suggestion, haha.

I think you should maybe consider simplifying the biography form! It asks for a lot of details (like coat, eye color, vices, fears, et cetera) that could easily be addressed under the general appearance or personality sub-section. Maybe it's because I can't keep myself from being detailed and consistent in every section and sub-section, but I find myself either repeating myself or having everything about the character that needs to be said written out before even getting to the appearance or personality sub-section. For example, after filling out Pelagia's fears, vices, strengths, pet peeves, and likes, I found myself feeling like I'd adequately described her personality, which killed my motivation to write a huge paragraph or two for the "personality" portion of the section.

Again, this is of course just me, and I'll admit that I might be putting too much detail into those certain sub-sections, but that's the issue that I personally keep running into and struggling with. (And it's part of why Keir's bio (and now Pelagia's) took so long for me to finish, heh.)

PELAGIA, thank you so much for your suggestions! Sorry for the delayed response, I've been quite swamped with work recently. Below are a few points I'd like to bounce off of you (if you don't mind).

- Regarding the one account per character. You mention that it's a bit of an issue, which I totally understand. I just want to clarify something - are you hitting 'logout' and then logging in again? Or are you using the little account bar in the bottom right corner? The account switch option is there, and it only takes two clicks to switch between your accounts. If this is what you're referring to, and you still feel that it takes too much time - let me know and I'll see if I can find an easier method.


- Regarding the biographies - I agree with what you said and have removed all of the additional items under 'Personality' and 'History' as well as some of the appearance options. Thank you for bringing this up!

- I have tried to put us up on Animus, but appears their listing spots are all full. I will look into adding us to Club & Fang - once I figure out where to put that button. (We are already listed on 4 RPG topsites, one of which is my own. You can find the voting buttons in the header on the home page.)

Oh my goodness, the little icon at the bottom makes things SO MUCH EASIER. I was indeed logging in and out and in and out to get from one account to the other. Thank you so much for the help!
